| News From Mechstorm about MechWarriorHDP for MP3.02b |

| Yes, it’s finally done, and is the largest HDP to date! New images, sounds, and multiplayer maps designed for cooperative team play (as well as simple Battle and Team Battle games)are all part of this new patch. All of the mechs have had their textures improved in some way (and a few of the mechs as well, mostly their “older” ‘mechs, before they discovered the beauty of using multiple textures per ‘mech!).

Not to start a rumour that the sky is falling but my inbox is falling over with questions about a possible Mechwarrior5 being announced from Microsoft. I did some digging this morning to attempt to find the source of this leaky drip and I found it quickly on MekTek's forum and Drop Ship Command's forum . There is a blog on 1UP by Jeff Green posted Friday, May 25 which was noticed by Bangy on DSC. In the blog it states the following:
Anyhoo, the July issue of GFW is being printed now and will be in mailboxes shortly, and it is, if I may be so bold, and I think I may since this is my blog, a great one. The cover story is one of those OMG WORLD EXCLUSIVES WE SAW IT BEFORE YOU DID HAW HAW stories that magazines love to crow about even though the Internet is making all that irrelevant anyway.
I'm not allowed to tell you what it is yet, but will be posting the cover next Friday, jeebus willing. Suffice it to say it's the new game in one of PC gaming's oldest franchises--a series w/bazillions of fans. Ryan Scott wrote the story and did his usual kickass job, because Ryan KICKS ASS.
I've made contact with two official contacts whom will remain nameless and they were not very convincing in denying this development. We are asking as many questions right now as you can think of because we want to know as badly as you do. Stay tuned and keep checking back with us.
Will Friday, June 1st 2007 bring the annoucement we have all been waiting for? Who knows but if it is, MekTek will be right there in the middle of it!
Don't forget that MW5 was named as one of the top MW5 Lost but not Forgotten PC Games which was reported by IGN a few months ago.
